Port Harcourt Socialite Ceemore Reaches Private Settlement with Five Women Over Nightclub Assault Allegations
In a recent development out of Port Harcourt, socialite Ikechi Maduba, popularly known as Ceemore, has reached a private settlement with five women who had accused him of assault at a local nightclub.
The women — Innocent Stellaman, Juliet Obasi, Jennifer Chidiebere, Anthonia Okoye, and Onuoha Oluomachi — initially filed a complaint following an incident that quickly gained traction on social media. However, when the case was called up in court, their lawyer, Cyrus Onu, informed Magistrate Buzuge Kobani that Ceemore had issued an apology and offered a financial settlement. This proposal was accepted by the women.
Following the acceptance of the settlement, the women filed an affidavit of withdrawal, leading to the case being struck out by the Magistrate.
Speaking to correspondents, lawyer Cyrus Onu highlighted that the decision was made amicably, aiming to bring closure to the matter swiftly without protracted litigation.
This case underscores the complex nature of social disputes involving public figures and how private settlements often serve as an alternative route to court trials.
