🚨 BREAKING: NCAA Bans Airplane Mode on Flights in Nigeria
In a major update, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has officially banned the use of airplane mode on all flights. Passengers are now required to completely switch off their phones and other electronic devices during take-off and landing.
According to a statement released by the Director of Public Affairs & Consumer Protection at NCAA:
> “Henceforth, the regulation for phones and other electronic devices in Nigeria has been unified: ALL PHONES MUST BE SWITCHED OFF DURING THE CRITICAL ASPECTS OF TAKE-OFF AND LANDING.
> All airlines must amend their security programmes to reflect this if different in their current programmes. No more airplane mode until regulations are reviewed to reflect evolving technological situations.”
This move marks a shift from previous practices where passengers could keep devices on in airplane mode. Airlines across Nigeria are now required to update their safety procedures to comply with the new directive.
Passengers are advised to follow this regulation strictly to ensure flight safety and compliance with national aviation laws.
