L.O.E.F Set to Distribute 4,000 Exercise Books to Students Across Ogoni Communities in Honor of Ken Saro-Wiwa

In a remarkable gesture of love and commitment to education, The League of Ogoni Entertainers & Friends (L.O.E.F) has announced a community outreach initiative beginning in November 2025, aimed at supporting secondary school students across Ogoni communities.

The group plans to visit the first twenty (20) secondary schools within the region to distribute over 4,000 copies of 80-leaf exercise books and writing materials – completely free of charge.

According to the organizers, the initiative is designed to honor the legacy of the late Ken Saro-Wiwa, a globally respected writer, environmental activist, and advocate for education and social justice.

  1. “Ken Saro-Wiwa was not only a hero of the Ogoni people but also a symbol of knowledge and courage. Through this project, we’re keeping his dream of a better-educated Ogoni youth alive,” the group stated.

The L.O.E.F team emphasized that this is only the beginning of a larger vision to empower students, encourage literacy, and promote community development through creative and educational outreach programs.

They are calling on individuals, organizations, and partners who share this vision to support or collaborate in achieving this noble goal.
