Tiwa Savage Finally Responds to Claims She Doesn’t Collaborate With Female Artistes π€π
Nigerian music queen Tiwa Savage has finally broken her silence on the long-running claims that she doesn’t like or collaborate with other female artistes.
In a recent post on her Instagram story, Tiwa fired back at critics, saying the narrative that she doesn’t support women in the industry is completely false.
She wrote:
“But they always want to say Tiwa Savage does not like or support female artistes. Please who has more female collabs and there are sooo many more not even listed here. Y’all miss me with that bullsht narrative, I dey hustle money on my mind.”*
Tiwa went on to highlight her numerous collaborations with female artistes including Waje, Simi, Ayra Starr, Efya, Amaarae, and Becca, among others. Her upcoming single with Simi, titled “Men Are Crazy,” was another solid example she pointed to.
The “Somebody’s Son” hitmaker made it clear that she’s pro-women and that she genuinely loves to see other female artistes shine. She also noted that many of the rumours about her “blocking” other women in the industry are false stories pushed by promoters or gossip blogs.
“Sometimes, they just use my name to chase clout. I never stopped any woman from performing or growing. I love to see my sisters win,” Tiwa added.
With her powerful response, Tiwa Savage has once again proven that she’s not only a trailblazer in Afrobeats but also an advocate for women empowerment in the music space.
